Nature Conservation CSR Program: UTM and Kg Sg Timun Community 2022

We are proud to present our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and the Kg Sg Timun community. This program aims to contribute to the preservation of our environment through the planting of Mangrove Forest tree seeds. In addition, we will utilize the advanced Mangrove Forest Tree Identification and Geotagging mobile app to capture and record essential information about the tree seeds, ensuring efficient management and monitoring.

As part of our CSR initiative, we will engage in the planting of approximately 100 Mangrove Forest tree seeds. This activity serves as a vital step towards environmental conservation and the restoration of the local ecosystem. By participating in this hands-on planting process, we aim to create a sustainable and thriving mangrove forest for future generations.

To ensure accurate documentation and efficient management, we will utilize the innovative Mangrove Forest Tree Identification and Geotagging mobile app. This cutting-edge app enables us to enter important tree seed information, such as species and location, into an online database. By geotagging the trees, we can monitor their growth and development over time, facilitating effective conservation efforts.

Through the collective efforts of UTM, the Kg Sg Timun community, and our dedicated participants, we have successfully planted around 100 Mangrove Forest tree seeds. Additionally, we have tagged approximately 100 existing mangrove trees, contributing to the comprehensive preservation and monitoring of this precious ecosystem.

Would you like to become a Geotagging Volunteer?

Your participation in this meaningful endeavor is greatly valued

Geotagging Volunteers play a crucial role in assisting the community coordinator of Kampung Sungai Timun in conducting tasks related to planting Mangrove Forest seedlings, installing QR code tags, and inputting data into the Mangrove Forest Geotagging and Identification application. Additionally, periodic updates and data verification for these trees are essential.
